The poetry is about a wedding occassion in which a Mehandi ceremony took place. To grab this opportunity, the orator (not admin) requested his crush to apply Mehandi on his hand. Thorough this poetry, the orator can convey his message to the person concerned...

थोड़ा और रुकने का था मन इस कदर मेरा,

 तुम्हें और देख पाने को था दिल बेसबर मेरा,

 I wanted to stay there some more,

 My heart was eager to catch some more glimpses of you,

तुम्हारे दिखने के बाद किसी ने रोका ही नहीं,

 तो मुझे आना पड़ा, कर के दिल पत्थर मेरा,

 But no one asked me to stay once after I saw you,

 So I had to return with a heavy heart,

मेहंदी लगवाई थी मैंने ताकि कुछ वक़्त मिले,

 वो समर्पण था तुम्हारी गोद में हाथ रखकर मेरा,

 I asked you to apply Mehndi on my hand so that I can get some more time,

 Thats the way I surrendered, putting my hand in your lap,

जितनी देर तुम्हारे गोद में मेरा हाथ रखा था,

 मैं सोचता रहा काश कि होता वो सर मेरा,

 Till the time my hand was in your lap,

 I wished it was my head,

मैं वहाँ से आ जाने के बाद भी वही बैठा रहा,

 तुम्हें सोचते हुए बीता वो रात जगकर मेरा,

 I was mentally there with you even after I returned to room,

 I kept thinking about you awaken throughout the night,

वो तो मालूम है, है दूर जाना मुझे भी, तुम्हें भी,

 कैसा रहे जो साथ चलो बन के हमसफर मेरा?

 I know we have our separate and long journey,

 How about we cover it together?

मैं घर से निकला हूँ, चुन के एक रहगुज़र मेरा,

 मगर अच्छा होगा गर तुम बनोगी रहबर मेरा,

 Ofcourse I have chosen a path for me,

 But your guidance can make it easier,

मैं निकलूँ तो नदी के जैसे दिशाहीन हो जाऊँ,

 ऐसे में तुम ही तो रोकोगे बन के समन्दर मेरा,

 I'm like a river which is falling down, directionless,

 I need you so that I can blend into you,

तुम्हें नहीं पता, अकेले में मैं खो भी सकता हूँ,

 ऐसे में घर ले चलना तुम हाथ पकड़ कर मेरा,

 You don't know I can lost if I'm going alone,

 In that case, you'll guide me to our home,

घर से याद आया, घर तो देखा ही नहीं तुमने,

 एक बार देख लो तुम शहर मेरा और घर मेरा,

 You haven't visited my home yet,

 Come with me to my hometown and visit my home once,

घर में हैं माँ पापा, भइया भाभी और बहनें हैं,

 तुम्हारे आने से घर हो जाएगा और सुंदर मेरा,

 There are my family members at home,

 Your addition into it can adorn it some more,

अपने घर कहना, "याद बड़ा आएगा नैहर मेरा,

 पर मैं जा रही हूं, अब सजाना है मुझे पीहर मेरा",

 You tell your guardian that you're gonna miss your home,

 But you have to embellish your in-laws house now,

इतराना जरूर, सबको photo दिखा कर मेरा,

 ऐसे ही सादगी से रहना, तुम गुरूर बन कर मेरा,

 You may show my photo to others to boast,

 But your simplicity is my pride,

कभी कभी रूठ भी जाया करना झूठ-मूट का,

 और आजमाना, तुमको मनाने का हुनर मेरा,

 You may pretend to be upset with me just for the sake of it,

 Just to test my talent for comforting you,

तुम्हारे चेहरे पर मुस्कुराहट हो मेरी वजह से,

 तो क्या कहने कि कैसा जाएगा दिन भर मेरा,

 If you are smiling because of me,

 That will be the best thing of the day, I would have achieved,

और उसमें भी मैं रोज तुम्हें हक़ीक़त में देखूंगा,

 इस ख़ाब भर से ही दिन जाता है गुजर मेरा,

 And I'll be able to see you everyday,

 Thinking about it makes my day happy,

मैं ढूंढ रहा हूँ, काश कोई तो ऐसा होता,

 जो पहुंचा सकता तुम तक ये ख़बर मेरा,

 I'm looking for someone mutual to both of us,

 Who could convey my message to you,

समय है, पर इतना नहीं है कि बेचैन न होऊं,

 क्योंकि घर में शादी का अगला ही है नंबर मेरा,

 Yes, we have time, but not so much that I should be relaxed,

 Because in my family, I'm the next one to get married,
